Minnie Robinson's Obituary
Minnie (D’Onofrio) Robinson, 93, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at Menorah Park on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. She was born in Pittston, PA the daughter of the late Nicholas and Christina D’Onofrio. Minnie was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 72 years and held various offices. Minnie was also a member of the Daughters of the Nile and a lifetime member of the Crouse Hospital Auxiliary. Minnie enjoyed being creative and shared many of her handmade crafts with family, friends, and charities. She loved to travel, socialize, and stay active. Minnie started attending the gym in her late 80s and enjoyed going up to 5 times a week with friends at the Nottingham.
She is predeceased by her husband, Willard in 1995; her daughter Janet, who passed in 1970 at the age of 19; and her son-in-law, William Schumaker in 2017.
Minnie is survived by her daughter, Sharon Schumaker; two granddaughters, Patience (Ricky) Palmer and Jenny (Matthew) Ragan; and a great-granddaughter, Brooke Landers.
A calling hour will be held from 11:00 – 12:00 pm on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Minnie’s life at 12:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Road) North Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
