Nellie Quatrone's Obituary
Nellie Quatrone, of Jamesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Born in Syracuse to the late Carmen and Mary (DiPaulo) Falasco, Nellie graduated from North High School with high honors. She went on to work in administration for Royal Globe Insurance, Alpha Portland Cement, and Lamson Corporation. In retirement and prior to moving to Florida, Nellie was a licensed real estate agent for Help-U-Sell Real Estate.
As an avid reader, Nellie could easily finish a novel in one weekend. She was a passionate Yankees fan and routinely watched all 162 Yankee games (plus playoffs) each year. She cherished her time at Stony Point, Lake Ontario during the summers and her winters in Vero Beach, FL. As a resident of Vero Beach, Nellie took up golf and played frequently – she even once scored a hole-in-one! Nellie also introduced dozens of Floridians to coneys and salt potatoes.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her daughter, Rosemary Quatrone; her sister, Diane Spadter; and her brother, Joseph Falasco.
Nellie is survived by her husband of 68 years, James Vincent Quatrone; her son, Dominick (Bridget) Quatrone; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Crouse Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their kindness and caring during this trying time.
Visitation will take place on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. (noon) immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Nellie’s life at 12:00 P.M. (noon) at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
Contributions in Nellie’s name may be made to the Francis House or Hospice of CNY.
