My 94 year old mom, Catharine Quilty, wanted me to send her best to your family. She used to bowl with Patti back in the day in a Monday night league in ESyr, I believe. I remember her coming home telling me about her friends, Patti Caiello, Toni Barber, Linda, etc etc and how much fun they all had. I know she considered her a good friend. I kind of feel like I know her too! Sharing your loss.
Mark and family. We were sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. We were fortunate to have spend a bit of time with her before she left Greenpoint. My mom, Marilyn was glad to have been able to visit with her. Nancy, Mom and I had lunch with your mom when deciding if Marilyn was going to go to Greenpoint. Your mom helped with that decision. It is difficult to lose your mom but the memories (as shown in photos) are many and will live on forever. Our best to you and everyone. It is very sad to lose a parent but it was time for her to go be with the ones that went before her. She had lead a very full life. I remember her for years at the skyline store. She was always asking everyone what was going on in their life when she saw you. She was blessed with the love of her family . When you feel a slight breeze on your cheeks that is your Mom kissing you and letting you know she loves you and is still watching over you. My deepest sympathy to the family. During the 80s, I worked on Oak St. At least twice a week co-workers and I walked to their store in the Skyline for lunch. Your dad had quite the sense of humor and your mom the calming one. Sad day when the store closed. No where to go for homemade egg salad, our favorite. Our deepest sympathy and prayers are extended to you and your family during this very difficult time. Your Mom was a beautiful woman that will never be forgotten. We just spoke of your parents on a recent trip back home to Syracuse last week~reminiscing about the good old times at the Skyline and still missing your parents meatball sandwiches on Saturdays.
