Peter lived the life God placed in his hands with a full heart, steady hands, and a smile that never seemed to fade. He worked hard, loved deeply, and carried himself with a gentleness that made everyone feel like a friend. As a father and the steady center of his family, he gave strength, comfort, and a sense of home that will be felt for generations.
At the Parish, he wasn’t just a member — he was a presence. A helper. A builder. A man who saw what needed doing and simply did it, without fanfare, without seeking praise. His faith showed in the way he lived, not just the words he prayed.
And now, as Fr. Charles welcomes him into Paradise, you can almost hear the smile in his voice — because if there are projects in Heaven, Peter is already rolling up his sleeves.
Rest now, Pete. Rest in the peace and joy you so richly earned. Paradise is brighter because you’re there.
Peter Scalzo, a long time friend, will always be remembered for his love and dedication to family and friends, his kindness and generosity, a ready smile for all and his never ending dedication to Our Lady of Pompei Church and his Parish family.
May Peter now rest in the peace of Heaven as we treasure his lifetime.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Scalzo family. What a Godly & incredible Husband, Father, Role model, Veteran and a Friend to all! Peter and his family were long time friend of ours…..my entire life. We have nothing but good times to remember and be grateful for. From Christmas parties at the Scalzo ranch to the many years at the St Lawrence River. The most amazing times……The Scalzo gang would show up with enough food to feed an Army!
To Peter…..His family was his priority and his life!
Mr. Scalzo…..We will all miss you while we are here on earth but, thank you for your friendship, your guidance and a lifetime of amazing memories.
