Philip Drew's Obituary
Philip Drew, 88, of Liverpool, passed away Wednesday at home with his family by his side. Philip was born in Syracuse and served with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed by the City of Syracuse Water Department for 38 years, retiring in 1988. Philip was an avid NY Yankees fan and Syracuse University sports fan. Philip was an all around "great person" who was loved by all who met him. He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor Drew in 1999. Philip is survived by his daughter, Susan Drew and her partner, Tracy Foster and their son, Benjamin Drew Foster, who is Philip's grandson; his sister, Marjorie "Peggy" Allegrini of MA and his beloved dog, "Jeter". Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 8:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:00 am in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Contributions in Philip's memory may be made to the SPCA.
