Dear Phyllis,
The last time I saw you, about a week ago, I thought to myself, how ironic that I would be a volunteer caregiver at Francis House providing comfort to you in your final days. When I asked if there was anything you needed, you replied, " A NEW BODY ! " We both tried to chuckle, and I said well...how about a fresh glass of ice water or a blanket for your feet ? You told me you were ready to go...that you wanted all of this to be over. It's hard to answer back to that but I said try and keep the Faith, everything will be alright....it won't be long before you are reunited with your parents, aunts and uncles, and all those who have gone Home already. You wiped a tear from your eye, you were So tired out. I covered you up, turned down your t.v., and you drifted off to sleep. As i left Francis House that evening, I stopped by your room and said a prayer that it wouldn't be long before you got The NEW BODY you requested, that all your pain and suffering would end very soon. Well, the time has come. You have gone Home. May you be enjoying all the benefits that come from that New Body of yours. I hope you were
greeted by family, friends, Angels and Saints. May you forever live in the presence of
Jesus, free of pain, surrounded by peace and love.
