Raymond Huff, Jr., 72, of Cicero, NY passed away quietly at home on Thursday, March 26, 2020. He was born in Syracuse to the late Raymond and Shirley (Houston). Raymond was a proud Vietnam veteran serving from 1967 to 1970 in the Read Obituary
Patti and Patrick. We are very sorry for your loss. Ray was a great man and friend. I remember lifting weights at Bally Matrix gym in east Syracuse with Ray. We really pushed each other hard. He will always be in my family's conversations in a fond memory. R .I.P. RAY.

I was so sorry to get the call about Ray and now I can write a little note. Having known Ray almost all our lives there is so much to say about Ray but most of the people that knew him posted everything about him that I have little to add. Rest In Peace My Ole Friend and may God Bless you & your family too.
Ray was my "wing man" number of years on the police department. A trusted partner, and a great guy. I remember being on a detail with him to escort Sugar Ray Leonard to and from the Carrier Dome for an HBO boxing match he was commenting for. Ray was thrilled... we got to talk to Sugar Ray for about 45 minutes. He also got a meeting with his son Patrick and an autograph. Great guy, great memories. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Rays passing.It seems like just yesterday he was jumping over the fence to cut through the back yards. He was on the police dept at the same time my husband was and in later years I used to run in to him out and about.We had some great conversation. Ray will be remembered by his police family for being one of the toughest cops to ever wear our badge. Tough calls got easier when Ray arrived on a scene. He’ll also be remembered for some of the funny sayings that were all his own, called Huffisms. He made us laugh everyday he was around. Ray was always cheerful and friendly when he ran into old friends and I’m glad I was able to share in his return from the Honor Flight. That was a special day for the retired cops and SPD honor guard who watched Ray smile upon his return. I’ll also remember Ray for the number of times he’d ask about my father in law, one of his Turning Stone poker buddies. I’m sure Ray and Pee Wee are already sharing a poker table again. Rest In Peace Ray and thank you to Patty and Patrick for caring for him over the past year. God Bless.
Dear Huff Family, my condolences for your loss. I will never forget the first time I met Ray it was at a particular crime scene when I was a brand new cop in 1989. He complimented me on my actions and encouraged me. Let me say it was very comforting for me to see Ray arrive at this scene, I certainly knew some serious back-up had arrived! His words meant a lot to me and I will not forget him. May your memories keep you until you meet again. God Bless.
