Regis A "Reggie" Davis' Obituary
Regis "Reggie" D'Amico Davis, 68, of Cicero, NY, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Upstate University Hospital with loving family by her side. Reg was born on July 3, 1948 in Cortland, NY, daughter of the late James F. D'Amico and Melana Bertini D'Amico. The family soon moved to Syracuse where Reg attended Clinton Elementary, Lincoln Junior High, and graduated from Henninger High School.
Her life was extraordinary and unique. She struggled with health issues most of her life but always with a smile, a great sense of humor, and a ready signature laugh. She most recently lived at The Cottages at Garden Grove in Cicero where she was beloved by the staff. She welcomed visitors at the front door and enjoyed reading, studying the birds at her feeder, knitting and causing occasional mischief, all in the name of fun.
She is survived by a large and loving family, especially her sister, Nancy D'Amico of California; her uncle, Dominic D'Amico of Syracuse; her aunt, Kathy D'Amico of Cicero, NY and many cousins who reside around the world. She was predeceased by her parents and sister, Janice D'Amico, M.D. in 2003.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 PM followed by a 6 PM funeral service in celebration of Reggie’s life on Monday, July 25, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road, (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions in Reggie's memory to Say Yes to Education Syracuse (sayyessyracuse.org), Central New York Community Foundation (www.cnycf.org) or Northeast Hawley Development Association (nehda.org/donate).
