Renee M. Licata's Obituary
Renee M. Licata-Forish, 43, of Clay, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024, peacefully surrounded by the love of her son and mother. She was born in Syracuse, NY, daughter of the late John and Susan (Kalil) Licata. Renee was a vice president and director of the collegiate division at Haylor, Freyer & Coon where her intelligence, work ethic and passion vaulted her to the top of her field. She was one of the largest brokers nationwide, ranked by Insurance Business America as a 2020 Top Producer. Renee was also featured in April 2019’s National Insurance Journal as a national subject matter expert in the collegiate space. She won numerous sales awards during her tenure at Haylor, including Producer of the Year four times and the Platinum Award for new business 5 times, among various other awards and recognitions. She also recently founded Licata Group, LLC, a real estate property management company. During her free time, Renee enjoyed traveling to the beach, cooking, reading and spending time with her son, who was her pride and joy, her husband, her mother and her dog, Layla. Renee was an extremely devoted and adored mother, wife, daughter, sister, cousin, niece, granddaughter, godmother and friend. She faced numerous medical difficulties throughout her life, yet she still made the most of her short time here and always did so with a beautiful smile and an open heart. She will be deeply missed for her unwavering kindness, generosity, sense of humor, loyalty and unconditional love.
Renee was predeceased by her father, John A. Licata, Sr.
She is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, Jason A. Forish; her son, Jae L. Simo; her mother, Susan (Kalil) Licata; her brother, Dr. John A. (Nicole) Licata, Jr.; her grandmother, Mary (Snyder) Kalil; her cousins, Tara M. Kalil and Tiffany Kalil; her lifelong best friend, Dr. Allison Murphree,
along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Per Renee’s wishes, a memorial service will not be held.
