Rita A. (Frocione) Leogrande's Obituary
Heaven gained a new angel on April 13, 2020. Rita A. (Frocione) Leogrande, 76, passed away peacefully holding her loving son’s hand at Upstate Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Syracuse, Rita enjoyed and mastered cooking, baking, shopping but most of all, taking care of her family. Family was everything to her. A very selfless person, if anyone was in need, Rita was the first person to help. She also enjoyed going to the casino and day trips to Alexandria Bay and Sylvan Beach.
Rita is predeceased by her parents, Dominick and Mary Frocione; sisters, Yolanda (Phil) Santoloce, Anita (Carmen) Spinoso; brother, Rick (Jean) Frocione; brother-in-law, Joe Nett; sister-in-law, Mary Frocione; step-mother, Teresa Frocione; in-laws, Frank and Rose Leogrande.
Rita is survived by her most loving and devoted husband of 56+ years, Nick Leogrande; daughter, Anne Marie (David) Doyle; son, Bob (Marie) Leogrande; granddaughter, Chelsea Rose Doyle; brothers, Lon and Ernie (Connie) Frocione; sister, Edie Nett; along with many special nieces and nephews.
A special acknowledgment to her caregiver, Angela Getty and her dedicated aides at the memory care facility.
