Robert Joseph Dettor "Bob"'s Obituary
Robert Joseph Dettor “Bob,” 59 of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Born in Syracuse, son of the late Richard and Joan (Hunt) Dettor, he was a graduate of Jamesville-Dewitt High School and was employed at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo for many years. Bob was a lover of music, had a smile that could light up a room, and most importantly, loved being around his dogs and his family. Bob was the best dog dad and was always taking care of and loving them.
Bob will be missed dearly by all who know him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Kelley L. (Peck) Dettor; sisters, Lynn (Tony) Piela, and Deb Dettor; brother, Rick (Sue) Dettor; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dogs, Nelly, and Taco.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.
