Robert R. Gonzalez's Obituary
Robert R. Gonzalez, 82, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Loretto Nursing Home. He was born in Syracuse, NY, son of the late Ramon and Josephine (Cotroneo) Gonzalez. Robert graduated from Syracuse Central High School. He was a devout catholic and always kept his eye on the Lord. Robert had a special devotion to St. Therese of the Flower and Mother Angelica.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister, Ann Mastriano.
Robert is survived by two sisters, Violet Haley of Camillus and Lilia Gonzalez of Liverpool; seven nieces and nephews, Mary (Nicholas) Kochan, Patrick (Angela) Mastriano, Joseph (Dawn) Mastriano, Karen (Warren) Marlatt, James (Jackie) Haley, John Haley (Katie O’Brien), and Linda Haley-Ross (Dewey Romagnoli); several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nephews, one great-great-niece, and cousins.
Family and friends may call from 9:30 – 11:30 am on Friday, August 24, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Robert’s life at 12:30 pm in Holy Family Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one’s favorite charity.
