May the memories keep you all uplifted in this time of sorrow. I am thankful to have had such a wonderful 5th grade teacher! Mrs. Varney was like no other. She was one of my favorite teachers and my memories of the year I was in her class stand out like it was just yesterday! She always seemed to be smiling and have a zest for life and teaching. May you all be comforted in knowing how many other lives she has touched. May time bring you peace and comfort.

To all of "Bobbi's" family;
She will always be "Mrs. Varney" to me; she was my fourth grade teacher back in the 60's. I admired her so much; she was always full of grace and patience (I still don't know how she put up with those rowdy boys!). She made that shy little redhead in the 2nd row, 3rd seat back, feel very special and I never forgot her. My own 3 children, now grown and one a teacher, used to love to hear stories of my childhood which always included the one of my favorite teacher, Mrs. Varney, who used to occasionally let me give the spelling test to the class. I am sure she touched many, many children in longlasting ways she didn't realize; I hope hearing from just one brings you some comfort. God Bless.

Please know that I am thinking of the Varney family as you say Good By to Roberta. She was a CHAMP! I have known Bobbi as a dental patient at Dr. Nolan's for the last several years and never, ever did I hear her complain or grumble about her health. She was always positive and had a cheery outlook, not always an easy job in the dental office! I will miss her.
