Roberta "Bobbi" Varney's Obituary
Roberta "Bobbi" (Worth) Varney, 69, of Liverpool, passed away on Saturday at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a teacher with the North Syracuse School District for 30 years, retiring in 1999. Bobbi was a volunteer for the Liverpool Public Library and was named volunteer of the year. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, quilting, working outside and had a big interest in genealogy. Bobbi is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Robert Varney; 2 sons, Eric (Julie) Varney of Clay and Craig (Janell) Varney of Apex, N.C.; 4 grandchildren and a sister, Patricia (Dr. Jay) Petrie of Solebury, P.A. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Tuesday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with services immediately following at 11:00 AM. Entombment will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Liverpool Public Library or the CNY SPCA.
