I was saddened to hear of Rose's recent heart attack and subsequent death. Because I will be out of town for the rest of this week, this message will allow me to send special condolences to her children Julia and Marian and all her grandchildren whom she held so dear. Throughout the 55 years I've known Rose it just seems that despite the passage of time, we have kept running in and out of each other's lives; at Convent, later at Rosary Hill, at Upstate and at St. Camillus. She took a keen interest in my social life and introduced me to a lot of her friends in Buffalo as well as in Syracuse.
Whenever I needed medical records at those healthcare facilities, I always called on her and she was more than helpful, plus it gave us an opportunity to catch up on old friends and classmates.
Whenever I did any legal work for her, it always impressed me, that she had an abiding interest in making sure that her children's emotional and physical welfare was paramount in any undertaking that may have effected them. These professional contacts also gave us another opportunity to catch up on old friends. I am truly going to miss those opportunities. Rose rest in peace. Frank Vavonese
