In 1988, we found ourselves amidst the vibrant, swirling colors of Grateful Dead concerts, where the music weaved our souls together. At the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland, we witnessed the legendary last "Ripple," a moment that feels like a personal message. “Ripple” will forever symbolize the lasting impact Russ had on my life and the lives of others, even in moments when it might not have been immediately apparent. His kindness, passion, and spirit continue to create ripples that touch and inspire those who know Russ.
Life took us on different paths, but three years ago, we reconnected, and it was as if no time had passed. Our shared love for live music, the joy of being around dogs and in nature, our dedication to family, and our commitment to kindness brought us even closer. We followed our passions with unwavering dedication, living out our dreams during those years apart. Your spirit, my dear friend, will always be with me, dancing to the rhythm of our favorite songs and reminding me to live with your kindness and passion. The ripple you created in my life will continue to spread, touching others with the same warmth and love you shared. As I continue to attend concerts, I will carry your spirit with me, seeking the perfect sound and feeling your soul dance within me. You, my friend, are a ripple in still water. “Listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock my soul”, Fare you well, my friend. Your memory will forever rock my soul.
