Russell J. Carfagno, Jr.'s Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Russell Joseph Carfagno, Jr, 54, of Syracuse, NY, on November 15, 2024. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by family after a hard-fought battle against cancer.
Russell is survived by his wife, Suzette; daughters, Brooke Ann and Alyssa Marie; father, Russell, Sr.; sister, Mary Kay, as well as many other cherished friends and family members.
Throughout his life, Russell was deeply committed to his craft of woodworking and later his passion for the cannabis industry. As an entrepreneur and researcher, he was devoted to both the community and the growing industry. His efforts have played a pivotal role in shaping a field that he truly believed in, and his legacy in the industry will continue to grow. He found immense joy in music, particularly in the live performances of his favorite musicians, David Byrne, Paul Thorn, Johnny Lang, Steve Kimmock and Jerry Garcia.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Russell’s life on Friday November 22, 2024, from 3 - 6 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME,3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of CNY.
Russell will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through those who were lucky enough to call him a friend.
