Salvatore “Sam” Copani, 78, of Cicero, passed away Wednesday at Crouse Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Linguaglossa, Sicily and arrived in Syracuse as a young man. Sam was a member of the National Guard. H Read Obituary
When I returned from out of town I learned of Mr.Copani's passing.For that I apologize for not being able to attend the calling hours.One of the things I mostly remember among many was how hard he worked seeing him in the D.P.W. truck(s) as a child in the neighborhood.Also being part of Lemoyne little league when I played baseball.It is truly sad as one by one the old northsiders leave us.I will cherish the memories! Dear Copani Family, Sam was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed! Gary and I are in Colorado but if we were home we would be calling at the funeral home, he was very good to our son Carl and taught him a great deal.please accept our sincerest condolences. Katie and Gary Schaus

Mrs. Copani, Dave, Kathy, Steve, Johnny. I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a great guy, i will always remember that he called me Bobo. Great memories of him as my baseball coach, he really cared about all of us kids. He will be greatly missed. I miss you guys and think of you often. Bobby Davis.
