Dearest Mary and Family,
We just learned of Sal’s passing. So Sorry...
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord...
I hold many memories of playing trumpet with Sal in some of the various groups and visiting his shop. My deepest condolences to his family.

As a lifelong friend of the Phillips family, I am very saddened to read of
Sal's passing. Our connection goes back to Eastwood, boyhood friendship with Joe, Tommy, Sal and Rosemary, and their father's shoe repair shop on James Street. I remember how much their father loved music and his trumpet, and how great a trumpet player Sal was, not to mention his great bands. Those were the best of times. My deepest condolences to the whole family.

To Sal's family, I remember Sal when the Family lived on Mildred Ave and had the shoe repair on Nichols ave. He was always kind to the younger kids in the neighborhood as was Tom and Joe. With My deepest sympathy and a prayer for Sal and the family from a former neighbor. Sincerely, John Kavanaugh
So very sorry for your loss. He was such a wonderful man.
Our condolences to Sal's family. He was a part of ours for a long time when mom (Katie) worked at the Shop City store. Always ready to help and made us all feel happy to know him. May he rest in peace.
