Sarah R. (Crisafi) Garofalo's Obituary
Sarah R. Garofalo, 95, of Mattydale, the heart of our family, passed away on Mother’s Day at home.
She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (DiMento) Crisafi. Sarah was employed for many years at Learbury and Julius Resnick. She was an avid NY Yankees fan who loved the casino, bingo, cards, knitting, baking, going to camp, and was known for her homemade raviolis and stuffed meatballs. She will long be remembered for her strength and dedication to her family, which was an inspiration to all the generations she nurtured. We love you.
Sarah was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Thomas J. Garofalo, Sr., two sisters, Josephine Parillo and Mary DeMore, four brothers, Charles, Frank, Tom and Tony Crisafi.
She is survived by her sons, John T. (Saundra) of Phoenix; Nicholas T. (Cheryl) of Cicero; Thomas J. Jr. (Colleen) of Bridgeport; daughter, Anne (Donald) Snyder of Brewerton; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews as well as her beloved dog Sadie.
