I am so sorry Paula and girls. Sean was simply like gold to me. We laughed together very often. He was a wonderful boss. He was kind when our family was in need.I truly loved and respected him. My heart is broken.
I’ll never forget how much he cared about each and every student. All he ever wanted was to help anyone that needed it! He was an amazing principle! May you rest peacefully Mr. Gleason. You will never be forgotten 🙏🏻

I just received news of Sean's passing. I am stunned and very saddened. I went to high school with Sean at CBA, class of 1984. We hung out a lot. Sean was a super nice guy. He was cool, laid back and really funny!
He also loved music - and so do I - so we had that in common. He went to a LOT of concerts. And he would talk about the shows at school. Sean used to wear a skinny, black tie with a guitar fretboard on it. There is even a picture of him wearing that tie in our senior yearbook.
Sean and I kind of lost touch after high school as life pulled us in different directions. But I caught with him on the phone a few times in more recent years. He was still the same likable guy and we picked up right where we left off.
I want to express my sincere condolences to Sean's family. I cannot imagine what you are going through. But I am praying for you.
I have heard it said that the brightest stars burn the fastest. Sean was a certainly a bright light - and he will shine in your hearts forever. God bless.

I also was in Sean's 5th grade class. But not when he was the teacher - when he was a 5th grader at Roberts Elementary in Syracuse. Sean was a cut-up and a lot of fun. I can't remember what the lesson was about, but the teacher asked each kid to give an example of something that bothered them. Sean said he didn't like it when people called him "Jackie", because of his last name. The rest of the class was all thinking, "Who the hell is 'Jackie Gleason'?" Outside of school Sean must have run with an older crowd.
We went to different high schools and lost touch. Many years later a friend of mine asked if I knew him, and told me he's the greatest principal she's ever worked for. I say with love that knowing Sean when he was 10 and then learning he became a great educator was a plot-twist I did not see coming.
I'm grateful I was fortunate to bump into Sean twice in the last decade and had good chats with him. The Sean I knew was a positive, caring guy. He loved his girls, that's for sure.
To his daughters and family and friends and loved ones I am very sorry for your loss. I wish you all peace during what must be an excruciating time.
Dear Girls, I just wanted you to know how much our family loved and appreciated your Dad. He was an outstanding boss to Mark for years. When our family struggled with different challenges your Dad was always there supporting Mark and our other children. He was always easy to talk to and would offer sound advice. His face always lit up when he was asked about each of you. He was so excited when Frankie arrived and his joy doubled when Torie and Gracie arrived. Please know that we loved him and will miss him. Sean once said I was like a sister to him, and I took that as such a wonderful compliment. May you all find peace and comfort.
