Tracy,
Aunt Mellie always liked my visits to her home,
especially when I brought out little guys, now 50 YO. Sharon liked our boys too! A few times, when your Grandmother told us Sharon was
either on her way home or upstairs, we stayed for her to see our boys. She loved Patrick just like Mellie and held on her lap. The outward sign of affection she gave were precious moments.
I remember times when we were young, Camille, Joey, Sharon and I played in the attic at Camille’s house upstairs. Someone, like Joey said something funny and we all laughed. I will never forget Sharon’s which out under her breath, you could hear her giggles but a few. Minutes later she broke out in a big laugh.
At Henninger, we were all together from ‘65 until. ‘66 and then ‘67 for Camille. Your Mom and I had a class together, probably a study hall. I tried to get a desk next to Sharon and we just in study hall. When we lost David’s stood near him in my Army uniform for the whole time, rarely taking time to eat or drink. Sharon came over to send me into the kitchen where she had a plate of food for me. After 24 hrs, she come over and said to go upstairs and get some rest. An hour later, she woke me and asked if I need more sleep but I went downstairs. She was a very caring person like that. When I heard of her passing, I remembered these times and more, then I wept. We moved to Phoenix back in 1998 and old returned when my mother died but if we were in town in the 4th of July we went to the family picnics at Jimmy and Patty’s and catch up on family gossip. We miss those parties because every one were there. Because of my special affection for your Grand mother I spent time there. For that short time we were very close and never thought of being apart. I have many more memories of Sharon but I get carried away. Let me just say that I will always remember Sharon over the years. I loved her!
