Sharon A. (Dumas) Miller's Obituary
Sharon A. (Dumas) Miller, 77, of Syracuse, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on July 5, 2025. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Edmund and Carmella (Arena) Dumas.
Sharon graduated from Henninger High School and went on to receive her license in Cosmetology as well as degrees from Onondaga Community College and Bryant & Stratton. She retired after 30 years of service from New York State, providing assistance and support to community members with developmental disabilities.
Sharon loved to travel, especially to other countries and enjoyed trips to nearby states to attend shows, musicals and casino adventures while always being sure to sample diverse cuisine. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, senior meetings, crafting, anything angels and learning the art of quilting, but her favorite thing of all was spending time with her great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, Ronald Arena and David Dumas.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Michael) Miller; granddaughter, Kayleigh Miller; great granddaughter, Salem Miller; sister-in-law, Frances Arena and her nephews, a niece, great and great-great nephews and nieces, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 9:00 – 9:45 am at St. Daniel’s Church, 3004 Court St., Syracuse, NY, followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Sharon’s life at 10:00 am at the Church. She will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery.
