Sina (Zina Indrikovs) Sturms' Obituary
Sina (Zina Indrikovs) Sturms, 100, passed away October 12, 2021 at Elderwood at Liverpool. She was born in Riga, Latvia, daughter of the late Peter and Vera Indrikovs. Sina retired from Chappell’s Dept. Store in Syracuse.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Sturms in 1967.
Sina is survived by two daughters, Christine Erhard of Crofton, MD and Ingrid Steele of Park Ridge, NJ; three grandsons, Ryan (Katerina) Erhard, Geoffrey (Amanda) Erhard and Alex (Natalie) Erhard; three great-grandchildren, Eva, Jack and Navy.
Thank you to the nurses and staff at Elderwood for their excellent care, and special thanks to Lynn Dodge for all her help with mom over the years.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 12:30 - 1:30 pm, immediately followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Sina’s life at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in North Syracuse Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one’s favorite charity.
