Stanley Francis "Red" Daniszewski's Obituary
Stanley Francis “Red” Daniszewski, 94, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. Born in Syracuse, son of the late Stanley and Mary (Godzwon) Daniszewski, he was a graduate of Vocational High School and served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1951 – 1955. Stanley was employed at Regents Restaurant near Syracuse University, he then became and retired as a Court Attendant for the City of Syracuse Court System. Red was always a standout athlete. In high school he excelled in basketball and following his military enlistment, it was handball at the YMCA.
Along with his parents, Stanley was predeceased by four siblings, Lorraine, Virginia, John, and Debra.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Diane (LaValle) Daniszewski; his sister, Kathleen; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 9:00 – 9:45 A.M. at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, immediately followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Stanley’s life at 10:00 A.M. in the church, 927 Park Ave. Syracuse. Stanley will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
Stanley’s family is very grateful to the VA Medical Center Staff for the excellent care and support for Stanley and his family over the years, and especially during his last days.
