Stella (Lupo) Gianni's Obituary
Stella (Lupo) Gianni, 87, of North Syracuse, passed away on Friday at the Francis House surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Italy, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Angela (DiFalco) Lupo. Stella briefly worked at Learbury and Crouse Hinds, she spent most of life raising her family. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and sewing. She was very social, enjoyed spending time with her many friends, dancing with her husband, and especially cherished her time with her family.
Along with her parents, Stella was predeceased by her husband Joseph, as well as her brother, Joseph Lupo.
Stella is survived by her 3 daughters; Ann Kalkbrenner of Rochester; Nancy Petroff of Liverpool and Diana Crivelli of Cicero; 7 grandchildren, Michael (Kristen), Ryan, Matthew, David, Joseph, Catherine and Danielle; her brother, Vincent Lupo of Eastwood; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A funeral service in celebration of Stella’s life will be held at 8:30 AM on Thursday February 27, 2020 at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at 9:30 AM. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Stella’s name may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave. Syracuse, NY 13208.
