Tamara M. (Stewart) Asch, 49 of Cicero, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Long Beach, CA daughter of the late, Ronald and Ann (Dunn) Stewart. Tammy was a 19 Read Obituary
Mrs Asch helped me a lot during my time in the junior high school. She was a wonderful lady that inspired many. My thoughts are with her family and loved ones.
Mrs. Asch was my guidance counselor during my time at NSJH. She was one of the counselors that held “Support Group” where kids would go once a week to share our experiences with loss, and they would give us advice to help us deal with loss and to keep our loved ones’ memories alive. One day, I had stayed after school to talk with her, and I said I was going to start walking home. She went out of her way and offered to drive me home. She was such a kind person, always going the extra mile and taking time to make sure others were doing alright. Her advice helped me so much. Thank you Mrs. Asch❤️

My condolences on the loss of a very kind woman. I knew Tammy and Steve through the ALS support group. Regardless of her own troubles, she always asked after my sister and encouraged me as a caregiver. Virtual hug to Steve. Many prayers.

I just received Rabecca's email letting me know of Tammy's death. Tammy and you were already in the ALS group when Peter and I joined. Tammy and you shared so much information and support with us, helping us deal with and maybe make the best of this awful illness. Tammy talked straight about ALS. And she also shared her positive outlook and determination. I remember her talking about all the things she was able to do and all the places her wheelchair had taken her. I love seeing this picture of her, healthy and lovely. My heart goes out to you, Steve, in your loss. We each have our own sorrow but in broad strokes, I can truly empathize with you. Especially our trips to the Jersey shore, endless sleepovers, and our drive to Florida with her parents. May all of you be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you.

Tammy was not just our son’s guidence counselor, she was a fierce advocate for him and at the end of his time at the Junior High School she was our friend.
She was innovative, caring, and a positive force for our son when we needed it the most. We will always be thankful and grateful she was in our lives.
