Tamara M. (Stewart) Asch's Obituary
Tamara M. (Stewart) Asch, 49 of Cicero, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Long Beach, CA daughter of the late, Ronald and Ann (Dunn) Stewart. Tammy was a 1989 graduate of Liverpool High School, a 93 graduate of Lemoyne College, and received her master’s degree in counseling and psychological services from Oswego State in 1995. Tamara’s passion was helping others, especially teenagers, which led her to her career as a school counselor at Watertown High School and most recently at North Syracuse Junior High where she worked until 2016. Tammy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling, boating, enjoyed time outdoors, walking and running at Green Lakes and Buttermilk Falls. She also enjoyed spending time attending Dave Matthews Band concerts and wine tours. Above all, Tamara's greatest joys were her husband and two boys which she enjoyed every single second. She had great faith and devotion to Mother Mary and Jesus.
Along with her parents, Tamara is predeceased by her sister, Tori Coats.
Tammy is survived by her husband of 17 years, Steven Asch; sons, Jaiden and Justin; brothers and sisters, Timothy ( Jenny) Stewart, Teri Stewart, Thomas (Carol) Stewart, Tracy (David) Parillo, and Todd (Linda) Stewart; and 18 beloved nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass in Celebration of Tamara’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Sacred Heart Church, 8229 Brewerton Rd., Cicero, NY.
