Theresa "Tess" Soccocio's Obituary
Theresa "Tess" (DeMaria) Soccocio 97 of Syracuse NY, passed away on May 11, 2014 at Andrew Michaud Residential Health Services Home in Fulton NY. Tess was born on November 3rd, 1916 in Syracuse. She was predeceased by her husband Gaetano (Tom) Soccocio in 2002.
Tess was the owner and operator of a state licensed day care center on Highland Avenue in Syracuse for over 20 years. She and her husband Tom gave many children a good start in life. She will be missed.
Surviving are her son Thomas R. (Catherine) Soccocio Sr. of Cicero N.Y. 2 grandchildren Thomas R. (Kelly) Soccocio Jr. of Cicero and Lynnore (Brayton) Hamblen of Alpharetta, GA. 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Tess's life at 11:30 A.M. at St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
