Tracy Marie Payne-Gray's Obituary
Tracy Marie Payne-Gray (Trixie), age 55, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 24, 1970, in Syracuse, New York, Tracy was the daughter of Dennis E. Payne and Diane M. Dellerba-Payne.
She was predeceased by her grandmother, Mary Balducci 4/15/27-12/7/03 – grandmother, Erma Payne 11/1/22-8/2/15-mother, Diane M. Payne 9/20/51-5/29/79 and her Uncle Larry Payne.
She is survived by her father, Dennis E. Payne, who proudly served in the United States Army in Korea, and her sister, Tricia A. Griffin (Travis).
Tracy adored her family and loved her three children, Anthony J. Dundas, born May 20, 1996 (father, Everett Dundas), Alyssa Kinahan-Dundas born July 31, 1997 (father, Everett Dundas) (mother, Kelly Kinahan) Angeleena Marie Gray, born October 26, 2004 (father, Brian Gray). Also, her sister’s children. She treasured her nieces and nephews: Ashley Massey (son, Damian Northrup and daughter, Gianna Cooper); Courtney Massey (daughter, Lauren Romeo); Jerry Massey (Courtney’s twin brother); And Lyndsey Devine (daughter, Journee Kaulback).
She loved each of them deeply. She is also survived by her Aunt Lynda Payne; cousin, Jamey Payne (Marlene) and three children Josh, Carlie, Sarah Jodie Smith (Steve).
Tracy was a graduate of Phoenix High School. In 2003, she earned her cosmetology license and later became certified in medical billing. She worked at Med Best Medical Management for over 20 years.
She loved spending time at Sandy Pond and along Lake Ontario, camping with family and friends at Sunset Campground. The beach and sunshine were her happy place, and she always enjoyed relaxing with a cocktail in hand. Fall was her favorite season, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. She loved decorating her home for the holidays and showering her children with gifts, filling her home with warmth, laughter, and family.
Tracy was fun-loving, spirited, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickey Road, (corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Bombadils Tavern, 575 Main Street, Phoenix, NY 13135. Food will be served; drinks are on your own.
