Vincentina "Ginzie" Nappa's Obituary
Vincentina "Ginzie" (Cardarelli) Nappa, 88, of Syracuse, entered the gates of heaven peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Syracuse, she resided here all of her life, Vincentina was an active member of Word of Life Assembly of God and worked many years for Canteen Food Service. After her retirement, Vincentina enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She made sure that her life was lived as an example for the Lord, and was the rock that held her family together, she was a true servant for God. Vincentina enjoyed going on many vacations with various family members to different vacation spots. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Nappa in 1982, parents, Augustino and Susie Cardarelli, brother, Ray Cardarelli and sisters, Lydia Rocca and Hazel Vancott. Vincentina is survived by her six children; John (Carol) Nappa of Baldwinsville, Frank Nappa of Syracuse, David (Esther) Nappa of Langhorne, PA, Daniel (Rita) Nappa of Liverpool, Matthew (Jean) Nappa of Liverpool and Linda (Carl) Montgomery of Syracuse; one brother, Joseph Cardarelli of Lawrenceville, GA; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many cousins and close friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 8:30 AM in Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at Word of Life Assembly of God, 12 E. Oneida St., Baldwinsville, NY 13027. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 pm. Vincentina's family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Cambareri and his staff, Hospice of CNY and CCH Home Care Services for all their wonderful care.
