Virginia F. (Seneca) Simiele's Obituary
Virginia F. (Seneca) Simiele, 78, of Syracuse, passed away at Crouse Hospital on Sunday, March 15, 2015. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Angelo and Christine (Lillo) Seneca. Virginia was an Office Manager working with her husband at Simiele Homes for many years. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends, and also loved traveling with her husband. Her favorite thing in life was taking care of her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, S. Richard Simiele in 2013; her sister, Mary Sgambati and her brother, Rocco Seneca.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Michele M. Simiele (Tracey McLaughlin) of New Hampshire; her son, Michael (Kelly) Simiele of Syracuse; two granddaughters, Sophia and Olivia Simiele; her sister, Genevieve (Nicola) Grillo; her brother-in-law, Joseph Sgambati, her sister-in-law Phyllis Rao, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 9:00 to 10:45 am on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church, 318 Herkimer Street, Syracuse with a funeral mass in celebration of Virginia’s life to follow at 11:00 am. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Dewitt. THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME is handling funeral arrangements.
