Hon. William W. Rose's Obituary
Hon. William W. Rose, 70, of Camillus, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 7, 2024. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Edward and Anita (Epolito) Rose. William received his bachelor’s degree at the University of Buffalo and Juris Doctorate at Cleveland State Law School. He started his career as an Assistant District Attorney for the City of Cleveland and later became an Assistant District Attorney for Onondaga County. William was a partner in Carni, Centra & Rose, Carni & Rose, Rose & Jordan Law Firm and was elected Town Justice for the Town of Onondaga in 2003. He was also a NYS Family Court Attorney Referee and was a former member of the 5th Judicial District Grievance Committee. William enjoyed golfing and was a member of Tuscarora Golf Club. He also enjoyed watching SU sports and the Cleveland Browns. William’s greatest joys included vacationing with his family, spending time with friends, and attending his girls’ lacrosse games. William’s favorite role was being a devoted husband and father and considered his family to be his greatest achievement.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Susan (Collins) Rose; his three daughters, Marissa (Erik) Rose Krohl, Haley (Andrew Savory) Rose and Lindsey Rose; his brother, Edward (Gail) Rose, and his mother-in-law, Diane Collins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and caregivers at Hematology-Oncology Associates, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Hospice of CNY for their excellent care.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A Funeral Mass in celebration of Williams life will take place at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Church, Camillus, followed by burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners, NY.
