William F. (Simon) Simone Jr.'s Obituary
William F. (Simon) Simone Jr., 63, of Rohnert Park, CA, formerly of Syracuse, NY passed away on October 14, 2011 after a brave battle with lung cancer. He was a 1966 graduate of Henninger High School and proudly served in the 108th Battalion of the U.S. Army National Guard. Billy was the owner of The Vinyl Touch repair business in California. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Carmela "Connie" Simon. Billy is survived by his two sisters, Jacquline Peterson of Rohnert Park, CA and Mary Lou (Anthony) Sobon of South Onondaga; one nephew, Gary (Sheila) Peterson of Rohnert Park, CA; four nieces, Gretchen (Jo Frank) Martinez of Petaluma, CA, Kim (Brad) Bailey of W. Columbia, S.C., Kristy Sobon of E. Syracuse and Jamie Sobon of South Onondaga; several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and too many to count, loving friends. A Memorial Mass in celebration of Billy's life will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011, 11:00 A.M. at Corpus Christi Church, 4468 S. Onondaga Rd., Nedrow, NY 13120. In lieu of flowers, donations in Billy's memory may be made to a charity of choice.
